35 Weeks!

Wow, how did it get to be Wednesday already? I have been very busy painting (with open windows and a fan so as to not inhale fumes). I hoped to get the rooms painted in our house so that when we come back, we can just move in. Since this is just a rental, I didn't want to spend a ton on paint so I've been looking at Home Depot for Oops paint. You can get a gallon of paint that someone either didn't like or didn't pick up for $5.00--such a great deal! I've been looking for paint but they have only had 1 or 2 gallons of some dark ugly color. I was feeling very discouraged. Last Saturday, John and I stopped at Home Depot and they "just happened" to be getting rid of old stock so they were pulling gallons off the shelves, adding a tiny bit of color, and placing it on Oops paint shelf! What a blessing! We found all the paint we need and want for $5.00 each! It has been wonderful to use it!

Monday, I began painting the kitchen. Our house does not have a bunch of windows so this room tends to be dark anyways, but when we arrived, the cupboards were dark green and the walls were 2 shades of brown! Not at all a nice place to cook! The kitchen is now light and cheery with white cupboards and light lime green walls. Wha-hoo.

Today, my friend Jeanna came over to help me paint Christina's room! John and I had mixed and re-mixed a light pink we found and I had great doubts it was ever going to look nice! Even as I cut in around the trim I was doubtful. But, when Jeanna finished rolling it, Wow! It is exactly what I had mind. God is so good!

Christina has been really active! She took a little break in her activity for a bit. I think she slept a lot while going through a growth spurt. At the time, I thought she must be running out of room. She is running out room but that has not slowed her down a bit! My ribs have never been so stretched! I can't wait to hold and enjoy her strength on the outside :0) The little thing on the right of my blog says she is gaining an ounce a day! I could imagine it is sheer muscle!

Christina's house continues to expand. I am now 41 inches around and I feel as big as house! John continues to be so kind and loving despite my awkward body. He is just wonderful ~
