Engagement

Christina is Engaged! Quite young to be making such a commitment but in her case, this engagement does not involve a diamond ring (that we know of).

Very early Sunday morning, I woke up with pains that came and went in waves with a little break in between. Felt a lot like contractions. They didn't last very long but were quite intense. Christina wriggled and squirmed and turned her whole body from left to right! The next morning, I noticed Christina's movements much lower in my belly. She used to push her little bum into and under my ribs (not very comfortable). Now her little bum is just a little bit above my belly button. Though I'm happy to have more room to breath, I now feel every movement in my bladder!

From the research I've done, Christina dropping into my pelvis (or lightening I guess is the correct term) does not mean I will go into labor right away. It could still be a month before we get to see her sweet face. (It could be quite problematic if she decided to slide out before 37 weeks). It is a bit un-nerving, knowing she has made progress towards deliver and we still have a 3 day drive before we get to the midwife I'm planning to deliver with!

So, we shall see!
